Case study 4 PPPL

In August 2009, Pulpwood Plantations Pty. Ltd offered a rescue package to growers in six of Great Southern Ltd's plantation projects.

To proceed with this offer, PPPL needed 5% of the investors to call a meeting in September.

PPPL had over 25,000 names in their database, all of whom had to be informed about the investor meeting. Unfortunately, most were outdated.

Zipform ran a telephone matching report. We compared this to a report on all addresses and came up with a 38% match. This enabled the client to contact investors by phone and request their support for the project.

We cleansed the entire list of investors, removing duplicates to ensure that people who had invested in multiple schemes would only be mailed once. From the original 25,000 entries, we reduced the list to 11,542 qualified investors.

Now that PPPL had an accurate database of their investors, they used our cross media campaign services to communicate with all their stakeholders. Each investor was sent a letter informing them of the need to register their interest in the meeting. They were able to visit a unique URL where they could update their grower number, email address, contact information, voter registration and the various plantation projects they had invested in.

To ensure 100% accuracy, Zipform managed all data processing, programming, printing and intelligent mailing, ensuring that PPPL's investors got the right information at the right time. The target response rate was 5% - but our campaign achieved an impressive 14%.

"Despite the data challenges - and the very tight deadline - my team quickly solved the logistics and delivered the goods" - Ciaran Lougheed, Team Leader, Zipform
